Cost Saving In Your Network With PVx
The PVx can go to work on any satellite VoIP link. NOP allows calls to take little bandwidth – very acceptable quality is achieved at 7 Kbps (including IP overhead).
You can start with a simple point to point configuration where a PVx sits in front of each satellite modem. Multiple SIP/H323 calls from any source are routed through the PVx, converted to NOP, over the satellite link and on to the corresponding PVx at the other end of the link. Here the calls are converted back to SIP/H323 and delivered back to existing gateways. This technique will allow at least twice as many calls to be carried as an un-optimized VoIP link.
